Wilma Zeek, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully while comforted by her family, on Monday, March 9, 2026. Born on April 16, 1934, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, to the late Andrew and Elizabeth Bohna, Wilma lived a life marked by devotion, strength, and compassion.
Throughout her life, Wilma was a steadfast supporter of her husband, CSM (R) Edward J. Zeek, serving as a loving Army wife during his decades-long military career. Her unwavering support extended to her work at the Fort Campbell Commissary, where she served as a representative for Kraft Foods, handling inventory and supply with dedication and professionalism to all the area’s military community. Wilma was not only committed to her family and career but also took great pleasure in nurturing things. She found joy in tending to her beautiful flowers and feeding the birds that frequented her yard. Her nurturing spirit was evident in the deep love she held for her family; time spent with them was of utmost importance to her. She also cultivated a deep faith and love for her LORD and church, as she was a longtime parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She is survived by her four children: Barbara Zeek Hutchinson (Danny), Marie Zeek Rainey, Susan Zeek, and Eddie Zeek. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Alex Snyder, Kaitlyn Rios, Zeek Rainey, Maddy Fleagle, Jacob Rainey, Kaleigh Thorne, and five great-grandchildren.
Wilma's family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville, followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Following the Mass, Wilma will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
As we reflect on Wilma's warmth and generosity, we remember her as a loving matriarch whose spirit enriched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. For those that wish, memorials are encouraged to be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A special thank you is extended to Gentiva Hospice, specifically Porscha and Triffy, for the tenderness shown throughout this chapter of Wilma’s life. Also, from the rest of the family to her daughter Barbara and son-in-law Danny, we are all so thankful for the love and care provided by the warmth of your special home. Condolences may be made to her family on her tribute page at NaveFuneralHomes.com.
