Willie Mae Yonkers, 86, Clarksville, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 at her son's residence in Hopkinsville.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Tom Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Yonkers was born October 6, 1926 in Clarksville, TN and was the daughter of the late Willie Wayne and Beulah Mae Hodges Walker. She was retired from Clarksville Gas and Water Department, a graduate of Clarksville High School, a member of Forest Street United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She enjoyed being a church service volunteer, gardening, reading and crafts.
Survivors include her son, Gregory E. (Sandy) Yonkers, Hopkinsville; daughter, Jan Y. Dial, Clarksville; sisters, Betty Mason, Clarksville, Thelma Magneson, Madison, TN; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
