William Marshall Hinton, 86, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Skyline Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be 12 noon, Thursday, November 19, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Bro. John Maltais officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hinton was born September 20, 1929 in Clarksville, TN and was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mable Freeman Hinton; wife, Nellie McGovern Hinton; and his son, Terry Hinton.
He was retired from B.F. Goodrich, a decorated U.S. Army Korean war veteran who earned several accommodation medals including the Bronze Star, and a member of Sycamore Flat Church of Christ.
Survivors include his daughters, Betty Zahn, Barbara (Mark) Morris, Carmen (Bill) Reed, Paula (Manfred) Speire; sister, Margaret Ann Hinton Griffey; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mark Neblett, Daniel Zahn, Eddie Sinks, Shane Hinton, David Griffey and Michael Young.
