William Franklin Cody, age 76 of Clarksville, passed away on May 25, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 with Rev. B.J. Brack officiating. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 12:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
William entered this life on October 10, 1937 and was the son of the late George Cody and Sarah Abigail Owens Cody. He was a member of New Providence United Methodist Church and worked as an insurance agent for 45 years. He also enjoyed playing golf.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Eula Mae Roper and Martha Lola Stewart; brother, Bilford Elmo (Speck) Cody.
He is survived by his wife, Toni; step daughters, Renee Swanson (McClure) and Jean Brooks (McClure); stepson, Randy McClure; sisters, Marie Ramey, Elva Lena McBee, Diana Triggs (Mike), Vickie Puckett (Steve); brothers, John Cody (Sue) and Don Cody; grandchildren, Stephen Brooks, Alex Carpenter, Hannah Weatherford, Whitney Winton; 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
