Toni Wiggins

Antonia Monica Fontana Wiggins, “Toni”, age 85, of Clarksville, TN went to her eternal home Saturday, November 19, 2022. Celebration of her life and burial will take place 12:30pm Friday, November 25 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA. Toni was born on October 17, 1937 in Donaldsonville, LA to the late Charles and Antonia Fontana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Wiggins; five sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Wiggins Tanner, her husband Keith Tanner, of Elgin, TX, Kelly Wiggins Anderson, her husband Dr. Jeff Anderson, of Clarksville, TN, and sister Betty Bourg; grandchildren, Travis Tanner, Jared Tanner (Michelle), Anna Girsky (Grant), Abby Sickel (Kyle), and Micah Anderson, and two-great grandchildren, Avery and Daylin Tanner.
She was a preschool and kindergarten teacher for over 20 years. She viewed this as a ministry and demonstrated the love of Christ to the children and their parents.
She was a member and a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Denham Springs, LA before relocating to TN in 2019. She was faithful and continued to do the work Jesus calls us all to do by showing love and compassion to everyone she met. She was truly an inspiration!
