Thomas Shelby

Thomas Edward Shelby, age 97 of Clarksville, passed away on May 30, 2014.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson with Bro. Phillip Hinton officiating. Burial will follow at Dotsonville Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday.
Thomas entered this life on October 2, 1916 and was the son of Henry William Shelby and Nannie Evans Shelby. He was a lifetime and oldest member of Dotsonville Church of Christ, a retired farmer, and an honest man.
He is preceded in death by wife, Alberta Steiner Shelby; sister, Willie Mae Walton; brothers, Malcom Shelby and Urbane Shelby; grandchildren, Anita Minnick, Larry Norfleet, Michelle Sullivan; and great grandson, Adam Minnick.
He is survived by sons; Wayne (Virginia) Shelby and Larry (Martha) Shelby; daughters, Nancy Norfleet; brother, Rex Shelby; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
