Army Specialist Alan Jon Roach, Jr. "A.J.", age 20 of Nashville, TN, formerly of Crown Point, IN passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013.
A.J. is survived by his parents: Alan & Lana Roach of Crown Point; brother, Kurt Roach of Crown Point; sister, Elise (Matt) Budde of Cedar Lake; niece, Mackenzie Henderson; grandmother, Eva Crance of Crown Point; grandparents: John & Rita Kabella of Lakeview, AR; several aunts & uncles; numerous cousins; many friends and his Army family. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Rene Roach.
A.J. proudly served his country as an Army Specialist in the U.S. Army. July 4th, 2013, would have been his 2nd anniversary serving in the military. He was involved in many sports throughout his life: CP Jr. Bulldogs Football, Pups Basketball, CP Soccer, CP Little League, CP Babe Ruth, Taft Jr. High Track, and CPHS Baseball just to name a few; also enjoying paintballing and dodge ball. A.J. was a caring, generous, humorous man; and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, (2 blocks east of Broadway) at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN from 2:00 to 8:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point with Pastor Mark Wilkins officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Crown Point, IN.
