Ray was born on October 11, 1950 in Houston County, the son of Richard Stacey and Sibyl Fletcher. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Debi Lee and his brother, Rick Stacey.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air force and retired from AT&T.
Ray is survived by his loving family including his wife, Mary Ann Seay Stacey; mother, Sibyl Fletcher Stacey; daughter, Tracy Herbert; grandsons, Patrick Herbert and Cody Herbert; sister, Sharon Mixon.
