1SG (Ret) Warren William Schon, age 65, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at his home in Clarksville.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Civic Center Veterans Plaza located at 350 Pageant Lane Clarksville, TN 37040.
Warren entered this life on February 2, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Hubert and Jeannie Jamieson Schon. In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded by his brother, Alan Schon.
Warren was a retired First Sergeant with the U.S. Army, having honorably served his country in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He was also a former HR Manager for Federal Assembly, a Disabled Veterans Outreach Representative for the state of Tennessee, and had received his BA in Management from APSU. He loved his family above all. He was passionate for his Country, and enjoyed reading and antique cars.
He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen "Katie" Ford Schon; daughter, Christina Suzanne Schon (Jonathan) Shaltz; sister, Pat Harmon; grandchildren, Tristan Shaltz and Austen Shaltz; sister-in-law, Linda Schon; and niece, Cynthia Cubbage.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DAV of Clarksville, PO Box 20465, Clarksville, TN 37042 or the Clarksville-Montgomery Co. Humane Society, 940 Tennessee Ave., Clarksville, TN 37040.
