SFC (Ret) Scott McBride

SFC (Ret) Scott Allen McBride, age 51, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023 due to the injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Celebration of Life with Full Military Honors will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Tay Joslin officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Masonic service beginning at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

He will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

Scott entered this life on June 26, 1972, in Jacksonville, North Carolina to Delbert McBride and Karen Bartee. He was a Retired Sergeant First Class United States Army, having served with Aviation Operations Iraq and Afghanistan and Operation Enduring Freedom. He was also a contractor for Dyna Corp, KBR and Vinnell Arabia. Scott was  a lifetime member of VFW Post #11160 and American Legion Post #273. He was also a member of Queen City Masonic Lodge #761, and lifetime member of  Am Vets #25 in Springfield, Ohio. In his spare time, Scott enjoyed volunteering for USO, playing darts, riding his motorcycle, playing golf, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, and rock climbing.

Scott is preceded in death by his son by marriage, Ian Midcap; his service dog, Smokey and other beloved K-9 companions.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Theresa Lynne Mitchell McBride; daughter by marriage, Mandi Midcap; granddaughter, Dasia Duvall; sister, Chauna Bartee; uncle Gary and aunt Kathy Dulany; nephews, Devin Griffin, and Darrell Griffin III. Scott also leaves behind many cousins and extended family members.
