SFC (Ret) Earnest Woods

SFC (Ret) Earnest B. Woods, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
Earnest entered this life on February 2, 1950, in Oklahoma. As a young man, he enlisted into service with the US Army. His most recent duty station before his retirement was at Fort Campbell with the rank of Sergeant First Class. He then went on to work for a number of years for Civil Service at Fort Campbell’s US Post Office.
In addition to his parents, Earnest was preceded in death by his son, Don Woods. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ha Cha Pak Woods; grandchildren, Don Woods, Jr. and Kayden Woods; sister, Pauline Tipton and sister-in-law, Martha Woods; and nephew, William Woods.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Full US Army Honors will be rendered for SFC (Ret) Woods.
