SFC (Ret) Earnest Gillespie

SFC (Ret) Earnest Gillespie, age 77, Clarksville, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Spring Meadows Health Care.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Full Military Honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the visitation.
Earnest was born April 8, 1936 in Nemours, West Virginia, son to the late Ernest Gillespie and Vivian Tate Gillespie. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Gillespie. Following his military career with the U.S. Army, Earnest worked for Civil Service at Ft. Campbell, KY.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of over 53 years, Virginia Gillespie of Clarksville, sons Earnest Gillespie Jr. (Carol) of Fayetteville, N.C. and Leonard Lee Gillespie of Clarksville, daughter Vivian Leavell of Clarksville, grandchildren Beth Leavell, Chad Leavell, and Trey Gillespie, and sisters Betty Lou Mayo of Nemours, WV, Jeanette Williams (Kenneth) of Davenport, IA, Edna Scott of Lecanto, FL, and Evelyn Little of Bluefield, VA.
