SCPO (Ret) Charles Parker

August 14, 1942 — April 17, 2013

Charles Lynn Parker, age 70, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Skyline Medical Center while surrounded and comforted by the presence of his loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Danny Austin officiating. Burial will full Navy honors will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Charles entered this life on August 14, 1942 in Havana, Arkansas, son of the late Rural and Verna Parker. He was retired from an honorable 22 year career with the U.S. Navy followed by a 17 year career with Civil Service at Ft. Campbell. He also retired from the trucking industry where he was a driver. Charles was a Baptist.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ellen Brown Parker of Clarksville; daughter, Teresa Watts of Whitwell, TN; daughters by marriage, Angela Brtek and husband Jamie and Hollie Waynick, both of Clarksville; siblings, James Parker, Orville Parker, and Mary Miles all of Arkansas. He was the loving grandfather of Chris O'Quinn, Kristine Carter, and Katherine Waynick, and great grandfather of four.
