Ruth Helwig, age 69 of Cunningham, passed away, Sunday, February 23, 2014 at her residence.
A celebration of her life will be 12 noon Wednesday February 26, 2014 in the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 and 11 a.m. until the hour of service, Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ruth was born February 13, 1945 in Flint, MI daughter of the late, John and Elizabeth Roberts Darby. Ruth was a licensed Beautician since 1965 and a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Chelsey Helwig and great-grandson, Jaydin Helwig.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 44 years, CW3 (Ret) Ray Helwig; daughters, Melissa Martin of Clarksville and Ranelle Glenn of Nashville; sister, Daree Rumbold of Michigan; grandchildren, Katlyn Harrison, Colton Harrison, Gabriel Sanchez and Jordan Sanchez; great-grandchildren, Camden Helwig, Bryson Armistead, Anthony (Junior) Hilton and Damien Sanchez and special friend, Pam Knight.
