Ruth Evelyn Chato, age 90 of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord Friday, December 20, 2013 at Signature HealthCare of Clarksville.
A celebration of her life will be held, Monday, December 23, 2013 in the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Riley officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Ruth was born August 16, 1923 daughter of the late, George Wilson Fort, Sr. and Nannie Burney Fort. She was a homemaker a member of First Baptist Church and a graduate of Austin Peay State University. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Bert Chato; brothers, John Fort, James Donald Fort and George Wilson Fort, Jr.; and a sister, Mabel Waldrop.
Left to cherish her memory is her dear friends, Paul and Donna Collins and several nieces and nephews.
