Ruby Mathis Brown

Ruby Ophelia Mathis Brown, age 88, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2023 at Nanney Hollis Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Edwards officiating.
Ruby entered into this life on January 26, 1935, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Henry and Viola Kennedy Demonbreun. She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Additionally, she was a member of the church family at McAdoo Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, J.D. Mathis, and her second husband, Lee Brown. Survivors include her children, Sandra Mathis (Roland), Peggy DeShields (Alan), Regina Hallberg (Scott), and Jimmy Mathis (Tina). Also, Ruby was the loving grandmother to several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
