Roy Ricky Hoard Sr., 54, 5795 Hodges Road, Cunningham, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Gum Springs Baptist Chruch with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will be in Ferrell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the family home and from 12 noon until 8 p.m. Thursday at the family home and Friday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the church.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 11, 1953 son of James D. Hoard and Gracie M. Parks Hoard in Montgomery County. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ricky Hoard Jr. Mr. Hoard was a brick mason and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Laurel Hodges Hoard, Cunningham; son, Michael (Sandra) J. Hoard, Cunningham; brother, Ronnie Hoard, Clarksville; sister, Nicki Hoard Wallace, Clarksville; grandchildren, John Michael Hoard, Harley Ann Hoard and Rebecah Opal Hoard; and step-mother, Katherine Hoard. Pallbearers will be Steven Hodges, Eric Hayes, Freddie Hoard, Jason Hodges, Alfred Hodges, John Michael Hoard, Michael Hoard, Ronnie Hoard, Jackie Hodges and Billy Franklin Hodges.
