Ronald Schmittou

Ronald Layne Schmittou, age 78, of Woodlawn, TN passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at his home.

Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 21 ,2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Ronny Raines officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Ronald entered this life on January 30, 1945, in Clarksville, TN to the late Griff and Margaret Hunt Schmittou. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Clarksville and retired from Clarksville Fire & Rescue.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Schmittou.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sheila French Schmittou; son, Shannon (Debra) Schmittou; daughter, Rhonda (Mike) Lafferty; grandchildren, Monte Lafferty, Kyle Lafferty, Lindsay Lafferty, Hunter (Abbey) Schmittou, Blake Schmittou, Chance Schmittou, Ali Demonbreun, Hadley (Austin) Cherry, Caleb Morrow, and Jacob Morrow; great-grandchildren, Brantly Schmittou, Cooper Schmittou, and John Carson Demonbreun, and siblings, Pete Schmittou, Donnie Schmittou, Tommy Schmittou, Barbara Ann Briggs, and Janie Schroeder.

Firemen of Clarksville Fire & Rescue will serve as pallbearers.
