Paul Denton, 81, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Robertson and Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Paul was born June 1, 1931 in Montgomery County, TN to Ike and Cenie Shelton Denton. Paul was a U.S. Army Veteran having honorably served in the Korean War. He was retired from the Zinc Plant in Clarksville, TN and also worked in Construction. One of Paul's greatest joys was serving as a greeter at the doors of the church he so faithfully held membership with, Hilldale Baptist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Evelyn Parker Denton of Clarksville, and his loving sons, Terry Paul Denton of Nashville and Nicky Dwain Denton and wife Vickie of Clarksville. Also, he was the proud grandfather of Loren Daughdrill and husband Boone, Jarrod Denton and wife Jodi, and Kayce Denton.
Pallbearers will be Jarrod Denton, Dustin Brake, Bates Biggar, Russell Dowdy, David Egbert, and Stephen Oaks.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 4825 Trousdale Dr., Ste 220, Nashville, TN 37220.
