Norma Jane Simpson Jerles, age 78, of Clarksville, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2013.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Lyle officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
The Jerles family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jerles entered into this life on April 22, 1935 in Houston County, daughter to the late Levi and Madge Holmes Simpson. Norma graduated from Clarksville High School, Class of 1953. She was the consummate homemaker and wife and a dear and loving mother to her children. She enjoyed embroidery and belonged to Clarksville Sewing Center's Embroidering Club. Also, she loved her Lord and her church family at Sango United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jerles. Survivors include her children, Paul Levi Jerles of Alma, Arkansas, Jeff Jerles and wife LuAnn of Clarksville, and Missy Rye and husband Dickie of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Jerles, Emily Jerles, Jane Stevens, and Josh Jerles; and her very special friend, Trish Warden.
Pallbearers will be Neal Bateman, Josh Jerles, Chanz Swartz, Bradley Martin, Sid Goodwin, and Don Hopper. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Ted Norris, Bobby Norris, Lafayette Simpson, Robert Welch, Bob Thomas, C.H. O'Brien, and members of the Abby Lynn Group.
Memorial contributions are preferred to either the Clarksville Academy or the Sango United Methodist Church.
