Naomi Ruth McDaniel, age 82 of Southside, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Spaulding Road Church of God in Dayton, Ohio. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Church.
Naomi was born on July 29, 1932 in Blue Diamond, KY, the daughter of William Farmer Shepherd and Dora Bell Spurlock. She was a Union Representative for General Motors and was a member of Slayden Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Melton G. McDaniel Sr. and her children, Mark A. McDaniel, Vickie Ruth McDaniel and Angela McDaniel.
She is survived by her children, John Paul (Alice) McDaniel, Joseph S. (Betty) McDaniel, Bo (Theresa) McDaniel, Patricia (Mark) Hartman-Grigsby, Phillip McDaniel, and Jeremy (Heather) McDaniel; son-in-law, Bernie Brannan; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
