Nadine Greenup Williams St. John, age 80, of Cunningham, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Geoffrey Sikes officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Nadine was born May 28, 1932 in Smithland, Kentucky, daughter of C.E. and Nell Crutcher Greenup. Nadine graduated from Stewart Co. High School and studied at Austin Peay State University. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was formerly the Postmaster in Erin, TN. She loved to travel to all over the world and across the United States. Nadine was a faithful member of Madison Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John W. Williams, and her twin sister who passed as an infant.
She is survived by her loving family which includes her husband, Louis (John) St. John; her sons, Barry Williams of Cunningham and Steve (Joni) Williams Ridgetop, TN; children by marriage, Linda Boyd of Pittsburgh, PA, Ann Acquilano of Burlington, NC, David St. John of Bristol, TN, and Carolyn Reynolds of Sherman, NY; brothers, Oliver Greenup of Cunningham, Delmas (Martha) Greenup of Clarksville, Ellis Greenup of Cunningham, Larry (Linda) Greenup of Southside; sisters, Carolyn Green of Paris, Nell (Bob) Harris of Southside, Brenda Price of Southside, and Kathy (Winston) Devers of Southside; grandchildren, Heather Williams, Lindsey (Jason) Spain, Ben Williams, and Kayla Williams; and great grandchild, Landyn Williams.
