MSGT (Ret) Clarence Wright
September 26, 1929 — June 5, 2014
Clarence H. Wright, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Eddie Bellar officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be rendered.
The Wright family will receive friends from 12 noon until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Clarence entered this life on September 26, 1929 in Harrietta, Michigan, son of Sidney and Lula Porter Wright. He dedicated 26 years of his professional career to the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. During his tenure as an airman, MSGT Wright bravely served his country in the Korean War and Vietnam. He belonged to the VFW Post #4895 and the American Legion.
Surviving family members include his loving wife, Mary Gibbs Wright of Clarksville; children, William H. Wright and wife Pam of Springfield and Tina Palacios and husband Frank of Clarksville; and his brother, Ed Wright and wife Connie of Pinckney, MI. Clarence was the loving and proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Along with the Air Force honor detail, pallbearers will be Dewayne Bellar, Jim Stroud, Kenneth Clinard, Jonathan Dedmon, Greg Stroud, and Michael Grogan.
