Mildred Selph

Mildred Brooks Selph, age 87 of Erin, TN, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at her residence.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Bro. Tony Baggett officiating.

Mildred entered this life on November 25, 1935 in Highland Park, MI, daughter to the late Lester Lee Brooks and Beatrice Lucy Tate. Mildred served her community as a cosmetologist, and loved painting, attending to her flowerbed gardens, and going to church. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her family; she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Monroe “Sleepy” Selph; son in law, Jack Roberts; siblings, J.W. Brooks, Joyce Brooks, Sonny Brooks, and Gary Brooks.

Survivors include her loving children, Vicky Roberts Von (Teri) Selph, Chris (Sheri) Selph, Jill (Wes) Aymett, Daron Selph; siblings, Glenda Wyatt, Garland Brooks, Eddie Brooks, Patty Brooks, and Sondee Brooks. Mildred also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Amber Dennis, Justin Selph, Wesley Selph, Alex Aymett, Bradley Selph, Katie Crockarell, Abby Ezzell, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
