Mike Lewis

Michael Leamon (Goober) Lewis, 64, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at St. Thomas Hospital. He was born September 23, 1949 in Houston County, Tn. son of Liston and Mattie Parker Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Bonnie Lewis Tate, and grandchild Danielle Johnson. Mike was a member of the American Legion. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Mitchell and Bro. Ernie Arnold officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Brenda Rye Lewis of Erin, son Chase Lewis of Erin, daughters Dina Johnson of Tennessee Ridge and Shonda Harris of Vanleer, eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Charles Alsobrooks, Danny Stringfield, Wayne Lomax, Jerry Hankins, Rudy Al Hughes, Bobby Patel, Jerry Bucciarelli,Jerry Brooks, and Eddie Brooks
