Melinda Bowen

Melinda Bowen, age 69 of Waverly, TN, passed away October 14, 2026 at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center of Dickson, TN.

Melinda entered this life on January 7, 1957 in Kokomo, IN, daughter to the late Robert Henry Buttermore and Ingrid Thompsen Buttermore.

Melinda was a special lady and her family was her life. She loved to cook for them; and will be remembered for consistently sending out daily scripture text messages.

Survivors include her children, Anthony Hill, Rachel (Gordon) Frame, and John Hill. Melinda also leaves behind seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 am until the hour of service.
