Mayella “May” Fonseca, revered as a pillar of strength, courage, and compassion, passed away on June 20, 2025. Born on September 13, 1974, Mayella was known for her warmth, intelligence, and undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world.
Mayella will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dominic Fonseca, her beloved children, Delilah Fonseca her husband Dustin Turner and their daughter Sofía, Milleena Fonseca and her fiancé Luis Andrade, Gabriel Fonseca, Jonalhy Fonseca, her parents Hilda and Eloy Salinas, her siblings, and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and uncles. She is joined in rest by her grandparents Maria De Jesus and Luis Martinez and Petra and Eulogio Salinas, along with many other loved ones throughout her life. With a hefty family tree and a family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Mayella’s reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.
Among Mayella’s most significant accomplishments was raising her four children, whom she held as her pride and joy. Even amidst the challenges life brought her way. Mayella never wavered in her compassion for others. She continued to support her family and extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and devotion. Even when sick or in pain, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself. Her life served as a testament to her philosophy “No matter what happens in life, be good to one another and take care of each other.”
Funeral Mass will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with visitation starting at 11 a.m. Following the Funeral Mass burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
A public viewing for Mayella will take place on June 26, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, Rosary will begin at 6:30 p.m. Those wishing to pay their respects are welcomed. Mayella’s loss is deeply felt by her immense family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
