Mary Katherine Harper Tracy, formerly of Clarksville, a loving wife and devoted mother, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, at the age of 56, in Missouri City, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bobby Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 am Wednesday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Born on September 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, Mary embraced life with warmth and kindness that touched all who knew her.
After earning her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences, Mary embarked on a fulfilling career as a cytotechnologist. Her dedication to her profession showcased her commitment to health and wellness, reflecting her generous spirit in supporting others.
While Mary and James lived in Clarksville, they were members of First Baptist Church and the Bobby Smith Sunday School Class.
Mary was known for her loving, friendly demeanor and her deep compassion for friends and family alike. She cherished each moment spent with those closest to her and built a legacy of kindness that will be remembered forever.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, James Tracy and their cherished son, Tyler Tracy; parents, Tom and Polly Harper, who will miss her dearly. Mary is also survived by her mother-in-law, Willie Tracy, her siblings Becky and Tim McDermott, and Randy and Vicky Harper. Additionally, she is remembered by her nieces and nephews: Ivy and Chris Bailey, Matthew and Grace McDermott, Maj. Andrew and Lindsay McDermott, Joe, Johnna, Dillon, Molly, Channing, Heidi and Harper Alexander, and the joyful presence of Issac McDermott, Jocelyn McDermott, MaryKate McDermott, Maverick McDermott, Blair Bailey, and Bennett Bailey.
Mary was preceded in death by her father-in-law, John Tracy.
