Mary Lou (Hibbs) Piveral

Mary Lou (Hibbs) Piveral of Sheridan, Missouri and later Clarksville, Tennessee passed away on August 26, 2026 at the age of 87.

Born January 4, 1939 in Sheridan, Missouri to Vilas and Pauline Hibbs, Mary Lou spent most of her life in northwest Missouri. She received her Registered Nursing degree from Missouri Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. She married Virgil Piveral of Maryville, Missouri, in December 17, 1960. Together they built a life in St. Joseph rooted in family, faith, and the quiet values of small-town living. In later years, they moved to Clarksville, Tennessee after Mary Lou retired from the Community Blood Center of St. Joseph Missouri with over 25 years of employment.

Mary Lou was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Those who loved her knew her quiet strength, her kindness, and the way she made people feel at home. She found joy in her children and home, her grandchildren, her nursing career, her church, and the gatherings that brought family together. She loved sports, especially football and basketball, and delighted in teasing friends and family over rivalries and favorite teams.

She was preceded in death by her father Vilas Hibbs; her mother Pauline (Mitchell) Hibbs; and her brother Larry Hibbs.

She is survived by her husband Virgil Piveral; her son Randy Piveral and his wife Molly; her daughter Rhonda (Piveral) Schiller and her husband Stephen; her grandchildren, Calvin Schiller and wife Caroline, Courtney (Schiller) Curl and husband Matt, Kyle Piveral and Luke Piveral; her great-grandchild Colter Schiller; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
