Mary Lillian Blackwell

Mary Lillian Smalley Blackwell, age 82, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 13, 2014 while at St. Thomas Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson with the Rev. Ken Andrews officiating. A special message will be delivered by her oldest grandson, Michael Blackwell. Burial will follow in the Greene Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mary was born on October 26, 1931 in Montgomery County to Robert Lee and Mattie Lee Sinks Smalley. She was retired from the former Dickson Hospital in Dickson, Tennessee and then served as a loving caregiver to many people over the years. She was a member of Gray's Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Ray (Son) Smalley and Robert Jr. Smalley, and sister Rosie (Tootie) Wall Ferrell.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Jr. Blackwell (Janie), Bobby Blackwell, and Johnny Blackwell (Betty Jane); daughters, Pearl Blackwell Greene (Ricky) and Brenda Blackwell Morrison (Greg); siblings Faye Parker (Hurley), Evie Jean Lee (Lester), David Smalley (Sis), and Paul Smalley, Jr.; grandchildren, Bobbie Jane Blackwell, Michael Blackwell (Tommie), Susie Blackwell Yonkers (Tony), Bubba William Green, Jason Greene, Jeremy Greene (Amanda), Brittani (Adkins) Sigears (Sidney), Kenny Blackwell (Sharon), and Brandi Blackwell Jackson (Wayne); great grandchildren, Kayla, Madisen, Megan, Brayden, Jordon, Hope, Billy, Mason, Morgan, Christopher, Aaron, Ashley, Courtney, Leslie, Brooklyn, Emily, Carson, Cooper, Connor, Lillie, Shawn, Hunter, and Destney.
Pallbearers will be Mike Blackwell, Tony Yonkers, Jason Greene, Jeremy Greene, Bubba Green, Kenny Blackwell, Billy Jackson, and Mason Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons, Shawn, Carson, Cooper, Connor, Jordon, Brayden, and Hunter.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Greene Cemetery Fund c/o Brenda Morrison, 583 Swift Ln., Clarksville, TN 37040.
