Mary Elrod

Mary E. Elrod, age 77, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at her home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 12 noon until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Mary entered into this life on July 11, 1936 in Fredrick, Maryland, daughter to the late Thomas and Esther Spangler Palmer. She was retired from a career in public education in which she served as a teacher's assistant. Mary was a loving mother and a Baptist.
Survivors include her children, Jim Elrod of Woodlawn and Cheryl Johnston of Clarksville; grandchildren, Rebecca Allison Elrod, Emily Elizabeth Wilson, and Matthew Ryan Johnston; great grandchild, Briley Elana Elrod; and sisters, Loretta Faucette of Clarksville, and Frances Palmer and Evelyn Lull, both of Virginia. She was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Perry
