Mary Ann Abner

Mary Ann Abner, age 81, of Cunningham, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at her home.

Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Ryes Chapel Church.

Mary Ann entered this life on June 23, 1944, in Lauderdale County, Alabama to the late Archie and Evie Hagood. She was retired from Bellsouth and a member of Trenton Crossing Church of Christ. Mary Ann was a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother who brought great joy to those around her. She was lovingly known as “Nana” and will be deeply missed by her grands. Mary Ann was a well-respected woman by her peers and coworkers. She was always seeking to help and serve others.

Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Don Abner; daughter, Donna Melena Sinks, and her husband, Mike; son, John Paul Abner, and his wife, Pamela Faith; grandchildren, Michael Sinks, and his wife, Shaska, Clay Sinks, Rachel Sinks, John-Phillip Abner, Brynn Abner, and Matthew Abner; great-grandchildren, Kyliegh Sinks, and Colton Herald; siblings, Jimmy Hagood, Arthur Hagood, Nathan Hagood, Rose Patterson, and Barbara Brewer.
