Mabel Elwick

Mrs. Mabel Estell Elwick, age 95 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, went home to be with her lord and savior on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Houston County Community Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Robert Spurgeon, and Bro. Bud Sherell officiating. Burial will follow in Barnes Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home, and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday afternoon at the church.
Mabel entered this life on July 22, 1920 in Stewart County, TN, daughter to the late Levi nad Onie McGee Martin. Mabel was a faithful member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church.
In addition ton her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Elwick; sisters, Neva Brioulette, and Loretta Willis.
Survivors include daughters, Ann Barnes (Jerry), Janice Hamilton (Donnie); grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Barnes, Stacey L. Barnes, Derrick Hamilton, Janine Wise; seven great grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Barnes, Stacey L. Barnes, Jerry Douglas Barnes, Joshua Lynn Duke, Stevie Wyatt, and Donnie Morris.
