Lyle Merton Carlson, Jr., passed away on February 1, 2024. He was born on August 8, 1959.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.

Lyle had a deep passion for his work as a network engineer, dedicating countless hours to the gaming industry at Sony. His expertise and dedication made him a cherished member of the team, leaving behind a lasting impact on the field. Beyond his successful career, Lyle embraced various hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy throughout his life. He had a love for adventure, and one of his favorite activities was taking his buggy to explore sand dunes. Lyle also possessed culinary skills that he honed through his love for cooking. He found solace in the kitchen, experimenting with flavors, and creating delicious meals for family and friends. Target shooting was another activity that captured Lyle's interest. Whether it was at the range or out in nature, he enjoyed the focus and precision required. In addition to this, Lyle had a talent for woodworking. His craftsmanship was admired by all who experienced his beautifully crafted creations. During his leisure time, Lyle found comfort in watching television programs. Cooking shows specifically captivated his attention, allowing him to learn new techniques and draw inspiration for his own culinary adventures.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Irene Carlson, who stood by his side through thick and thin, providing unwavering support and love during their journey together .Lyle also leaves behind his brother Pat (Diane) Carlson, sister Michelle (Marco) Hernandez and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle Carlson Sr. and Mary Parker Carlson.
