Louisa Drane Rodriguez Conroy Hadley, 91, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025. Born on February 4, 1934, in Clarksville, Tennessee, Louisa is the daughter of the late John J. Conroy, Jr. and Louisa Rodriguez Conroy. Louisa was the wife of the late Wade Henderson Hadley, Jr.
A devout Catholic, Louisa lived her entire life as a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksville, where she was a dedicated parishioner and found great joy volunteering with Loaves and Fishes. Her unwavering faith and commitment to her church community were hallmarks of her life.
Louisa graduated from Georgetown Visitation in Washington, DC, and is a 1952 graduate of Clarksville High School, where she forged lifelong friendships and began her journey as the true Southern lady she was known to be. Her grace, welcoming spirit, and steadfast devotion to her family made her a beloved hostess and support for countless friends and relatives.
Louisa’s greatest pride was raising her five children: Lisa Hadley Jackson (Terry), William Wade Hadley (Laurie), Susan Hadley Maynor, Catherine Hadley Birdwell, and John Conroy Hadley (Melanie). She was the adored grandmother of nine, Austin Jackson (Shannon), John Jackson (Karli), Louisa Jackson Davis, Laura Hadley Wix (David), Wade Henderson Hadley, Mary Catherine Birdwell Williams (Wesley) Louisa Birdwell Noonan (Sean) and Elizabeth McClure Hadley and great-grandmother to sixteen, as well as a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Bill Hadley, and sisters-in-law, Carrie Hadley Malone, Rogate Nussbaumer Hadley and Emily Boone Conroy. She was preceded in death by her brother John McClure Conroy.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7pm, Thursday, September 25, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
They will again receive friends on Friday, September 26 at 11 am until 1 pm at the church. Funeral Mass immediately following at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Clarksville, TN. Graveside services will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church.
Louisa will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her unwavering faith, Southern hospitality, and boundless love for her family and friends.
