Lillian `Gussie` Hackney, 93, formerly of Nashville, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Chapel with Bro. Geoffrey Sikes officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. A Graveside Service will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville, TN.McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born August 9, 1914 in Hickory Flatt, Miss. daughter of Horace Lee Scott and Mary Alice McCauley Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Howard Hackney, and a daughter, Mary Nell Freeman. Mrs. Hackney was a pre-school teacher, a homemaker and a member of Madison St. Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Anna (George) Rawlins, Clarksville, Jan (Robert) Sharp, Greenville, KY; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
