Lillian Mae Dakin, 68, Clarksville, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Ronald Dakin & Rev. Richard Dakin officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 15, 1940 in Monroe, Maine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Small and Abbie Smith Small; husband, Earl Richard Dakin. Mrs. Dakin was a homemaker, member of American Legion Auxillary Post #233, VFW Post 4895 Auxillary, and the Military Order of Cooties. Survivors include her sons, Ronald (Priscilla) Dakin, Clarksville, Richard (Terri) Dakin, Paris, TN, Donald (Tara) Dakin, Texas; brother, George (Ginger) Small, Bucksport, Maine; sisters, Annette Bacalor, Newport, Maine, Magurite Buzzell, Bangor, Maine; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
