Leonard Burton McElroy, 90, Clarksville, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held 10 a.m., Monday, October 22, 2012 at Excell Baptist Church with Rev. Terrell Marcom officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Erin, TN.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel.
Mr. McElroy was born February 12, 1922 in Erin, TN and was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Buenavista Waggoner McElroy; grandson, Samuel and Kevin McElroy.
He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a member of Excell Baptist Church, President of Saturn Tire and Rubber Company, President of Mimco, President and Owner of MR Aviation. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed flying and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Adams McElroy, Clarksville; sons, Don Neil (Paula) McElroy, Kenneth Wayne (Barbara) McElroy, Clarksville; daughter, Karen Oshinski, Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Brian (Meena) McElroy, Angie (Tony) Beal, Sarah (Jessie) Smith, Matt McElroy, Kimberly (Robert) McElroy-Nickrent, Pamela Bonanno, Sue McElroy, Nicki (Eric) Hartley, Alexis (Malcolm) Taylor, Jordan Oshinski; great-grandchildren, Zachary McElroy, Nicholas Bonanno, Justin McElroy, Madeline McElroy, Hannah McElroy, Serena McElroy, Waylon and Savannah Smith, Hayden Hartley, Alex, David, Cody, Jeremy and Jake Beal.
