Lena Baxter

Lena Rivers Baxter passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at Houston County Community Hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 2pm Thursday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Steppee officiating. Visitation will be from 4:30pm until 8pm Wednesday and from 8am until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Baxter Cemetery. Mrs. Lena was preceded in death by her husband Charles Baxter, one daughter Terry Lee Baxter, three brothers Henry Barnes, Rudolph Barnes and Morris Barnes. Survivors include three sons John F. Baxter, Charles P. Baxter, Jere L. Baxter, one daughter Charlotte Ann Day, one sister Verlene Schmidt, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mark Bringe, Bradley Walker, and family.
