Kathryn D. Carter, 99, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Dogwood Bend Assisted Living.
No services are planned and her remains will be interned at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Carter was born April 19, 1918 in Montgomery County, TN and was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Fannie Price Davenport; and her husband, Earl Thomas Carter.
She was a Methodist and retired after 50 years from The Leaf-Chronicle.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Meyer; granddaughter, Alicia (Chip) Turner; great-granddaughter, Kayla (Tosh) Blackmon.
