Kathleen Telfer, born on February 21, 1945, in Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her hometown on June 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy rich with love and dedication. She devoted over 30 years of her professional life to her work as a Bail Bondsman, a career that demonstrated her strength of character and commitment to supporting those in need.
Kathleen was not only a professional; she was a nurturer at heart. She found lots of joy in shopping and was well known by her family to be an exceptional cook. Her ability to care for and uplift others was a defining aspect of her life. She attended First Canaan Baptist Church.
She is survived by her beloved children, Penny Russell (Charles) and David Lynn Walker (Freda); her cherished grandchildren, Joshua Walker (Skye), Adam Walker (Kali), Miracle Faith Walker, Molly Russell, and CJ Russell; as well as her brother, Ted Rye (Jinny). Kathleen also lovingly embraced the role of grandmother to three great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband, Walt Telfer; her son, Darrell Wayne Walker; her parents, Lawrence Jackson Rye and Margaret Bryant Rye; and her brother, Billy Rye (Brenda).
A visitation to honor Kathleen's life will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville, Tennessee. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1:00 PM at the same location. Pastor Ted Denny will officiate. Kathleen will be laid to rest at First Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.
Kathleen Telfer will be remembered not only for her contributions to her community but also for the warmth of her spirit that touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Condolences may be made to her family at NaveFuneralHomes.com.
