Katherine Mildred Kirksey Manners, 90 of Clarksville, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2015 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Manners officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Troy, Michigan.
Mildred was born September 26, 1925 in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Walter Edgar Kirksey and Clara Westerman Kirksey.
She worked for 17 years at Chrysler Corporation in Detroit, MI where she met and married the love of her life, Harry T. Manners who passed away in 1995. Mildred was a member of First Baptist Church St. Bethlehem, TN and loved quilting and taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters, Roy B. Kirksey, Woodrow (Toad) Kirksey, Russell Kirksey, Walter E. Kirksey, Jr., Irene Gunderson, Theadus (Dude) Manners, Thelma Clark, and Lois Kirksey; two daughters, Sandra Green and Sharon Stewart.
Left to cherish her memory are 3 granddaughters, Jennifer (Bruce) Loury, Kim (Brad) Patterson, Vikki (Dave) Hall; 5 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including Katherine C. (Dudley) Rives, Caregivers and Ernest (Gilda) Clark, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any charity of your choice in her memory.
