Karen Edwards

Our beloved wife and mother, Karen Graves Edwards, age 67, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

Funeral Mass will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024,  at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Andrew Forsythe officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with a Rosary Service beginning at 7 p.m. Additionally, visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass.

Karen entered this life on June 16, 1956 in Hopkinsville, KY to the late Cordie Norflet Graves and Amy Nickell Graves. She was a graduate of Austin Peay State University, where she earned her Master’s Degree. She was also a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Karen was known for her unwavering faith as a Catholic, her green thumb as a talented gardener, and above all, for being the best grandmother anyone could ask for. Her grandchildren lovingly called her "MarMar," a title she cherished above all others. Karen had a sweet tooth that matched her sweet and caring nature. She found immense joy in serving others and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her home was always filled with warmth and love; she truly was the heart of her family. In addition to spending quality time with her loved ones, Karen enjoyed golfing and had a special place in her heart for her dogs. Her presence brought light and love to everyone around her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine Graves Darnell, and Jennifer Cristie Mayor.

She is survived by her life soulmate, and husband of 42 years, Tom Edwards; daughters, Amy Edwards Traylor, and Emily Edwards Cummings (Spencer); sister, Mollie Graves Morton; grandchildren, Lillian Grace Traylor, Thomas Fate Traylor, Lucille Elizabeth Traylor, Davidson Thomas Cummings, and Benjamin Paul Cummings; .

Pallbearers will be Spencer Cummings, Tim Crocker, Matthew Young, Ted Young, Joey Lingauer, and Brian Traylor.

Wayne Morton will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Church or Guthrie Methodist Church.
