J.W. (Buck) Hodges

J.W. (Buck) Hodges, age 92, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. John Black officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and 11a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the church. Buck entered this life on June 22, 1920 in Stewart Co., Tennessee, son of Dewey and Beedie Underwood Hodges. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Hodges, and a brother, Jack Hodges. He was a farmer, a cabinet maker, and a member Hopewell Baptist Church. Buck is survived by his loving family which includes, his sons, Greg (Rose) Hodges and Arnold (Sherry) Hodges all of Cunningham; grandchildren, Shannon (Phillip) Morrison of Cunningham and Justin Hodges; great-grandchild, Tyler Morrison, best friend & companion Dunise Lewis; step-grandchildren Kevin and Brian Marek; step-great-grandchildren Alyson, Jessica and Kaitlyn Marek. Pallbearers will be Justin Hodges, Tyler Morrison, Phillip Morrison, Wayne McWhorter, Kevin Underwood, and Gaylen Hodges. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy McIntosh, Wendell Harrison, Landon Baggett, Harold Baggett, and Charles Stayton Black.
