Jurgen Walter Goerg, age 64, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Nashville.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Eads officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday.
Jurgen was born on September 16, 1948 in Germany, son of the late Walter and Helene Kautz Goerg. Jurgen was a member with his loving church family at Kenwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband and loving Father and Opa. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Elaine Fletcher Goerg of Clarksville, TN, sons, Thomas (Lalani) Goerg of Hopkinsville, KY, Chris (Carol) Hillis of Fosterville, TN, Grant (Jennifer) Hillis of Christiana, TN, daughters, Tifani Goerg of Clarksville, TN, Angie Reyes of Miami, FL, brother, Kurt Goerg, Dover,TN, sister, Heidi Pendas of Clarksville, TN and 15 grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
