Juanita Stokes

Juanita Stokes, born on November 29, 1937, in Clarksville, TN, passed away on May 16, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

She was a proud graduate of Clarksville High School. Juanita was a homemaker who formerly worked for Super X Pharmacy.

Juanita was a member of Little West Fork Church, where she was active with the church choir.

Juanita was a devoted mother to her son, Mike Stokes (Ellie), and her daughters, Debbie Rittenberry (Danny) and Brenda Harper (Bob). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Michael Griffin, Matthew Morrison (Jeslyn), Daniel Peters (Jessica), and Paul Douglas Peters (Dallas), as well as her eight great-grandchildren, who brought much joy to her later years.

In addition to her parents, Walter and Cynthia Killbrew Meacham she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Stokes; her daughter, Cindy Ray; her brother, John Meacham; and her sister, Linda Thorne.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Brookdale and Asera Care Hospice for their compassionate care during Juanita's final days.

Pallbearers will be Danny Rittenberry, Bob Harper, Paul Landrum, Michael Griffin, Matthew Morrison, Daniel Peters.
