Johnny (Water Boy) Fain, 64, Palmyra, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Graveside with Rev. Dan Richard and Bro. Brian Hanvey officiating. Burial will be in Rye's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born November 26, 1942 in Montgomery County son of Lindsey and Ruby Smithey Fain. Mr. Fain was employed with Cunningham Utility and a member of Alva Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Geneva Fain, Palmyra; daughters, Donna Hanvey, Clarksville, Virginia Bursby, Erin, and Tammy Fain, Dickson; sisters, Betty Gale Briggs, Cumberland Furnace, Linda Moats and Brenda Ladd both of Clarksville. Grandchildren - Joshua Hanvey, Kristy Powers, Samantha and Bobby Fain. Pallbearers: David McLendon, John Mark Atkins, Timmy Fain, Bobby Fain, Jimmy Fain, Joshua Hanvey, Burton Yates and Lindsey Fain.
