John Lee Slaughter, age 58, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Jimmie Lane officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
John entered this life on October 1, 1954 in Huntington, WV, son of David and Zora Alieen Ash Slaughter. He was employed with Clarksville Floor Covering and was a member of the church family at Little West Fork Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents of Clarksville, survivors include his loving wife, Fawnda Slaughter of Clarksville; daughters Janelle Crosby and husband James of Clarksville, Elizabeth Slaughter of Clarksville, and Brianne Slaughter of Florida; eight grandchildren; and sisters, Roxane Fruin of Clarksville and Jennifer Holland of Texas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Slaughter.
