John Gregory Davidson

March 27, 1964 — February 15, 2024

Clarksville

John Gregory Davidson, age 59, loving son of Garfield and Bobbie Davidson passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024 at First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the church with Dr. Roger Freeman and Rev. Pat Vandyke officiating. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery with U.S. Navy Honors.  

After graduating from Clarksville High School in 1982 he joined the Navy, and then graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s in hospital administration and was employed as a nursing facility administrator for several years. He then became a local real estate agent. He was a member of First Baptist Church. John was an active participant in the Room at the Inn ministry as well as the prison ministry in Clarksville. He also enjoyed volunteering with the rescue mission in Nashville as well as Gideons International. He is survived by his parents, his sister, Leslie Davidson (Boyd Weaver) aunt, and uncle Dixie and Jack Gibson, and aunt Eleene Raley, along with several cousins. He also leaves behind Bella, his beloved dog. Honorary pallbearers are Matt Massey, Bruce Currie, Tal Powers, Johnny Sisco, Jasper Livbjerg, Butch Thaxton, and Alfred Raines. 

Memorial donations may be made to Gideons International or the Montgomery County Humane Society.
