Jimmy Hartsock

Jimmy Wayne Hartsock, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was 83 years of age.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Excell Baptist Church with the Rev. Terrell Marcom officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The Hartsock family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the church.
Jimmy entered into this life on December 15, 1930 in Benham, Virginia, son to George Harvey Hartsock and Ethel Brown Hartsock. As a young man, Jimmy entered the U.S. Army in 1951 and later honorably exited with the rank of SGT. Shortly thereafter, he began a career as a professional painter that spanned some 55 years. Jimmy loved his Lord and was a member of the church family at Excell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Larry Hartsock, Sandra Hartsock McNeill, Michael Hartsock, Kimberly Hartsock, and Jeannine Hartsock; the mother of his children, Shirley Hartsock; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are preferred to the Clarksville-Montgomery Co. Humane Society.
